Morning Madness

This is what our mornings tend to look like. Emerson has a well defined morning routine that occurs each morning after breakfast. It goes something like this She goes into the kitchen, opens drawers, scatters contents, select an item or two then run into the bathroom with them, bang them around a little then repeat. Small fits can be sprinkled throughout as well but usually not if nothing is taken from her. Once this routine gets old she wants to be held at this time Chris is usually ready so he can spend 15- 30 minutes holding her while I finish getting ready!

Falling into halloween

With Halloween only 1 week away Emerson has been busy celebrating. She has 2 Halloween outfits that she wore every week during the month of October, she went to the Fall festival in the neighborhood and the pumpkin festival downtown. This Friday she has a party at school, a party at Lyla's, trick or treating at Publix then hand out candy at home. The neighborhood has thousands of kids so I am hoping this year I am better prepared, last year we ran out of candy VERY early.
the pumpkin Festival was a lot of fun but I forgot to take pictures. There was a costume contest for babies and pets. The pet winner was Robin Hood (which I did not see) and the 1st runner up was "Walker, Texas Ranger" and it was a cute costume. The baby winner was dressed as Sarah Palin and her dad was dressed as a secret service agent!
For the first time since I had Emerson I did something EARLY - I VOTED!
Yesterday Emerson went to a birthday party fro Ella ray, she turned 2! They had a horse, which Emerson really liked. Emerson climbed right into the action while Ella Ray was opening her gifts. She literally climbed right on top of Ella Ray's grandmother's lap so that she could get a bird's eye view of the birthday girl and her gifts!
Below is a picture of Emerson on the way home... the girl just partied too hard!

Long time no posts

I have been so lazy about posting and I have so much to tell. This fall has been so much fun with Emerson, last fall was full of adventure (with a brand new baby)but this year we are having a totally different type of fun! I promise to be better about posting, these long posts take way too long! Thank you Rachel for the great website for backgrounds!!

Here is a picture of Emerson in the bath. She loves it! Being that she is so much more active baths are an everyday MUST!!

Emerson has graduated into a new class. Although this is one of the biggest transitions that these little ones make, Emerson did great. I was the one that was apprehensive about the transition. New teachers, no more bottles(sippy cups only), no more high chairs (they sit at tables), they feed themselves, no more cribs (they nap on cots) and only 1 nap!! Here are pictures of her on Oct 3 - the last day in Infant 3!

The Breakfast Club!

Earlier this month Emerson had a fever so she came home early from school and slept the majority of the day. Here she is catching some zs with daddy. Once she woke up she too wanted pizza!

Here are pics from the yard sale with Amy. It was in my neighborhood but she did WAY better than I did. I sold bottled water and made most of my $30 by doing so, the proceeds go to Emerson's college fund!

Lucas had enough of the yard sales, so he decided to take matters into his own hands! McDonalds, here I come!

A few weekends ago we had a Fall Festival in the neighborhood. There were bounce houses, creepy animals, which Emerson loved, balloons and face painting.

Happy Fall, Ya'll!

We are FALLing into the new season and we have pictures to confirm it!!
Miss Leslie took some more pictures for us! While I did not post the best shots, I posted the ones that really reveal how challenging it can be to get good pictures now that Emerson can walk! (I am saving the best pictures for other projects) Several times Emerson got up and walked away from the shoot! It was a lot of fun but a lot of work too!! Please note that the woobie did make the shoot as well!
