More videos

As Em's "mommy" I think these videos are hilarious and I am thrilled to have caught her in the act of some of her really cute tricks! I hope you all enjoy as well!

Video 1
Stevie Wonder, watch, you'll see why!

Video 2
Night Night. We first observed her putting her "little people" to sleep earlier this week. Last night I had my camera available to capture the moment! She touches each one on the cheek (not really shown), lays them flat on their faces, then pats them and says Nigh Nigh! A trick Aunt Cindy taught her!

Video 3
Dancin' Queen - self explanatory!

If you are happy and you know it

Emerson just learned "If you are happy and you know it" at school. Chris and I went to pick her up at school and there sat our little "brown noser" front and center with the teacher going through all the motions. I thought it was so cute I had to come home and tape it!! Good thing I learned to work the video camera function on my digital camera!

Visit from GranMollie

GranMollie came to visit and we had so much fun! The weekend was very busy and there were lots of good "kodak" moments although I did not capture any but these two and they are not that great. The highlights in these pictures are the bracelets that Emerson wears all the time now and the more the better!!

We love to see GranMollie come and hate to see her go but GOOD NEWS! She is coming back in March, the same weekend that Morgan and Warren are coming - HOORAY!

Breakfast Shenanigans

Usually Emerson eats the her best meal at breakfast, she is in a good mood and overall it is a great way to start the day. This morning was no different but I happened to have my camera close by.

Here is Emerson shoveling food into her mouth, the spoon is just not cutting it!

In the video, she eats as if her food is going to run away, cleans up after herself, signs several words and identifies a few body parts per my request. She does everything correct, it is just hard to tell b/c her moves are not quite polished!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Baby Lane is a GIRL!!! Oh, the thought of the fights, hair pulling, ribbons, curls, tampax, mood swings, competition, boys and weddings - how fun. Poor Chris, raised by women now raising women! Ha-ha!!

We are still stumped on names but the good news is that we have about 19 weeks to figure it out!

Thank you to everyone who has inquired about the gender! It is nice to know that so many people are as excited as we are!!

Life is like a box of chocolates

Life and pregnancy is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!

Today we had our 20 week ultrasound and although the ultrasound tech clearly observed the gender we are still in the dark! For a few reason we are now "blindly" thinking girl, primarily b/c the heart rate is 150-160 (I forgot to put that in my survey). Every doctor will tell you that heart rate is not an indicator of gender but I, on the other hand, am a firm believer that it is and I was correct with Emerson!

We will keep you posted as we reveal the results on Saturday night!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome February, No Jackets Required!

I have always said that January is the most depressing month of the year. Christmas is over, it is cold, dreary and not a lot exciting is usually happening. That is pretty much how January was this year as well and as soon as it turns February the clouds part. Today has been a BEAUTIFUL day. We walked to the park and Emerson played on the playground. It was so much fun b/c she actually enjoyed the playground equipment. She walked, ran, & even pushed her stroller - it is about a mile long walk! Go Girl!

Daddy & Emerson

Not sure if you can tell but this is a picture of a pretty steep hill, Ms Emerson not only walked up it but she pushed her stroller as well.

Shortly after the big hill, Emerson decided to rest before hitting the playground! We had to wake her up so she could play
