Take Me with you!

As I was packing Emerson climbed into my suitcase as if to say, "Take me, Take Me". We did not take her, take her but she had a good time with Gran Mollie and we had a GREAT weekend with friends on the lake!

Walking, talking and expressing myself

On Thursday of last week, Emerson started taking a couple of steps on her own. Although by Saturday she could only take up to 3 steps on her own, that didn't stop "Eager" Emerson from attempting to carry one of her toys while she walked (a bulky one at that). Below is a video of her frustration. Keep in mind that she wasn't trying to "move" the toy. She just got it in her head that she wanted to carry it while she walked. Stubborn and determined, she finally accomplished her task. The end is hillarious b/c she ultimately gets fed up.

Hide n Seek

Although a little early, Emerson has started to play hide n seek (with a little help)!! The "hiding spot" is actually her laundry hamper!! She had just gotten finished with her bath and I was trying to get her dressed hence the hairdo!



What a GREAT new toy!! I can ride it or push it!!

Double Time

Last night we babysatt Lucas, although he was VERY well behaved we got a snap shot of what it will be like (one day) entertaining 2 little ones!

ZOO

Saturday Emerson experienced her first zoo excursion. Initally she had more fun people watching but toward the end of the afternoon she started observing the animals which all of them were "dogs" to her.

The number 8 is believed to be a lucky number in the Chinese culture, therefore today should be a VERY lucky day due to the fact that it is the 8th day of the 8th month in the year 2008. I do not have much to say I just felt obligated to post for luck!
