When Life Throws You Lemons

Well we are growing and developing everyday. I can feel our little girl kicking all of the time, she is very active and I am thrilled. Recently we had a scare. I have been having contractions and upon further investigation the doctors determined that I have a short cervix. This may be my natural state or the contractions could have contributed to this shortening. Most likely the contractions are Braxton Hicks and are not altering my cervix. There is no way to tell but my doctor is being very cautious and placing me on bed rest for the next 2 weeks, I go back to see him Monday. The good news is that my cervix is firm and tight.
I am not confined to bed but rather I am required to stay off my feet as much as possible. So I can look at this as a terrible sentence or view it as a dream come true..........two weeks worth of lazy Sunday afternoons and I do not have to feel guilty about not doing house work, napping all day, watching too much tv and being totally unproductive. When life throws you lemons, MAKE LEMONADE!!!!!
A lot of family and friends have offered to help out, come visit and provide support in general. I really appreciate it all. This experience is so much more bearable with the love and support from family and friends.
