2 week check up

McCall had her 2 week check up last Thursday, July 2, and did very well. The doctor had a student shadowing her and she used McCall , as an example, to demonstrate the "ideal" term newborn. I was so proud! :)

McCall weighed 8 lbs and .25 ounces at birth, 7lbs and 6 ounces upon dishcarge and 7lbs and 6 ounces again on June 23, at her post discharge visit. At her 2 week she had gained 4 ounces and weighed 7lbs and 10 ounces. While tihs is not a huge weight gain it is a ig deal to us b/c at this age Emerson was consistently losing weight b/c of feeding issues. The doctor said this weight gain was right on track and she was pleased with the gain. Way to go McCall!
