Solid Saturday, Snow & Sweet Potatoes

This Saturday we had snow & sweet potatoes!! It was a lot of snow, for us but was gone quickly! Last week we had to stop eating carrots, Emerson liked them but they did not agree with her so we went back to what we know works - peas!! Just so that she did not feel short changed, we started mixing them with oatmeal rather than rice cereal, she was pleased with the change!

Funny story...
This morning Chris tells me that I have a message on my phone. I check it and it is a notification regarding daylight savings time.. I HAD NO IDEA. I did not even know it was coming, I was TOTALLY Clueless and very shocked. Normally I look forward to daylight savings time b/c it means that it is the start of spring.

Good News!!
Emerson got into the Academy! We are thrilled as this is an AWESOME daycare and it is .7 mi from our house. It is a "Child Development Center & Preschool". Provided that this works out she can go to preschool there. Although I have not thought that far in advance, I have wandered what we will do for preschool while working b/c the hours are typically 9-2 or something similar which means we cannot take or pick up. PROBLEM SOLVED!! Many day care centers have "Enrichment" Classes - Spanish, Giggle Bytes (Computers), Sign Language, Art, & Music for an extra charge but all of these are included in her tuition!! SCORE!!!!!

Yeah for sweet potatoes! Have you tried avacado and or mashed bannanas. Hannah and Kaiya liked them mixed. Very yummy! Or are you still doing just vegies. Congrats on entrance into the academy. : ) Mo

Yep -- K still loves avocados. :) The first time I didn't mix them w/ the bananas, she wasn't as keen. So I mixed them and then gradually decreased the banana and now she will eat plain chunks of avocados. Very handy if you decide to go out to eat at the last minute or are traveling and need to run into the grocery store and get something that you can immediately turn into a meal. Anyway... the academy sounds awesome. I hope we can find something like that for our kiddos if we don't have family that can watch them.
