Middle of the Road

Today we had our 9 month check up and Emerson did great. She weighs 18 lbs and is 27 3/4 inches long, this puts her in the 50th percentile for both height and weight! I took a picture of the scales because I remember when she was not gaining weight and the relief that I felt when she finally started to gain weigh and the SHEER joy that Chris and I felt when she hit double digits!!! Oh yea, she just ate before I put her on the scales hence the drool/spit up!
The doctor cautiously asked me if we used sunblock, I laughed b/c I know why she was asking. Emerson has the BEST tan but it is not from the sun it is totally natural. Considering that I have a little sun right now her pediatrician assumed that I bake her in the sun as well. Overall the visit was uneventful which is a good thing. We have a new pediatrician b/c the former one relocated. The new doctor is better than I could have asked!! She was very informative, helpful, knowledgeable and I was not at all rushed through the visit.
