Last night was our first night home and it went pretty well. I have just forgotten how labor intensive a newborn can be - even a good one, like McCall. I went to bed around 12am and was up 2X beofre 6am. Today was the stressful one, all of us at home together all day long. My mom had to leave and Em is just a handful, SOOO busy and with McCall nursing Chris nor I ever really get a break.
I keep playing Thursdays events through my head and I still am in shock about the way things played out - NOT AT ALL what I expected. Start to finish I had her in 3 hours and we were only at the hospital for 34 minutes before she was here! Em took 19.5 hours to make her debut! I wander what this says about their personalitites????

Those second babies slide out like it's no one's business. As fas as what this says about their personalities, it could be an indication of the constant tug to get everyone's attention, since they were not the first born. From my experience, having a son first and a daughter second, it could be a female's approach to getting her way. I am reminded of an old saying, "the squeaky wheel gets the oil."
